Posted April 11, 2018 04:15:25The Roseville mall is closing in the coming weeks, it has been announced.
The mall is in the process of being demolished, but the announcement will come as a shock to many who frequented the mall for years.
Roseville Mall was the home to the Roseville Shopping Centre and the Roselounges Roseville shopping centre in the town of Roseville.
It was closed from March 30 to April 1 after the owner, the Roseland Development Company, closed up shop.
Its now the Rosewood Mall, but its being sold to a new owner who plans to demolish the mall.
The closure will have an impact on residents in the Rosellestown neighbourhood of Roselinton.
Roseville Mayor Scott Williams said the Rose Mall is not just a shopping centre, it was a community hub for Roselville residents.
“It was a great place to live, work, play and socialise with friends,” he said.
A new owner will bring a much different kind of shopping experience to the mall, he said, and it will be a challenge for staff to cope with the transition.
“The mall will be gone, but what will the Roselambe shopping centre be like?” he said with a smile.
I’m a little sad for the residents of Rosellstown, but I hope they find a new home to stay.
We’ve had a very long-term partnership with Roseland for a long time, but now the time is right to move on and the mall is not the right place for us to be.
What to do next: While the Rosemont Mall is no longer in operation, the surrounding areas of Rosehill and Roseleston are being demolished and replaced with a new development.
The Roselillings Roseville community is being left to fend for itself and it’s up to residents of both Rosemont and Roseville to plan their own lives for the future.
