A barista in Spain who became a viral hit in 2016 for a “super cool” Instagram post that included a shot of her hair styled like a cat’s tail was forced to change her style after receiving death threats.
Loretta Lago was among those who took to social media to defend her style and post about the death threats after she posted a photo of her locks to her Instagram account.
“The first day I posted the photo of my hair I received death threats on Instagram,” Lago wrote on Instagram.
“I was scared to get a few of them, but when I was a teenager I was not scared.”
The 26-year-old was later forced to take down the photo and delete the comments she had made.
The photo was shared over 10,000 times on social media, with many users calling her a “totally cute” and a “fantastic” barista.
“I’m a professional barista and I’m always thinking about my customers and what I’m doing to give them an experience,” Lacon told CNN.
“But I also think about the people who don’t know me because I am a celebrity.
And I feel that they should be educated and that they can’t just be judged by the image on their Instagram.”‘
You don’t need to be famous to be successful’The Instagram post garnered over 3.7 million views and garnered Lago a lot of attention from other Instagram users, with the post soon becoming a top trending topic.
“We need more people who have an opportunity to be super talented, but don’t necessarily need to have a big social media presence,” Lagos said.
“And they shouldn’t just have a huge Instagram following, because it doesn’t really change their lives.
It just takes time to grow that brand.”
You don to not need to get famous to have success, because you don’t have to be popular, you don to just have this super high social media following.
You don’t even have to have that huge Instagram account, because that’s what you’re doing.
“You can’t be famous and have a good Instagram account and then be a successful business.”
She said she’s received more than 60 death threats in the last year.
“My Instagram account has become a lot more of a target than a year ago,” she said.
“People are saying, ‘I know your real name and I know your photo, but you don`t have a business, so what can I do?'”
Lago also shared a video of her own barista, Marisol Caceres, who also posted a selfie with the Instagram caption, “If you’re tired of being a celebrity and being judged by what you do on Instagram, don’t worry, you can always go to the real world and start your own business.”
“The real world is a place where everyone can be themselves,” she added.
“The Instagram world is not a place for that.
So be yourself, because this is your life.””
We can never stop living and learning.
So be yourself, because this is your life.”
