More than 40 Houston restaurants and cafes are expected to open for business as part of the city’s ambitious push to attract more diners to the downtown area.
The new restaurants, which include the Hill Country Galleria restaurants in Houston and the Downtown Galleria, are part of a $300 million effort that aims to create an “energy” that will draw people to downtown restaurants.
The Galleria’s first four restaurants opened in October.
They include The Galleria Steakhouse, a steakhouse, burger joint and bar that features local dishes like shrimp fried rice and a selection of pastas, salads, appetizers and sandwiches.
A new steakhouse is slated to open later this year.
